Sabita Parida is a development professional, with expertise in working on women and agriculture issues for the last 12 years. A trained agriculturist, she started her career as a development practitioner with PRADAN (Professional Assistance for Development Action) NGO, where she worked in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh for livelihood development of the poor. She also led program on Small Holder Agriculture and Climate Change and worked to increase the resilience, and improve the income of women farmers from 2011-2016. As a recipient of Ford Foundation International Fellowship, she completed her Masters in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Boston. She strongly believes eradication of poverty cannot be achieved without ensuring social justice for all.
